Dan founded Expedition Detroit in 2022 after starting his career by investing in sustainable businesses and counseling new enterprises as an attorney. Dan's passion for the outdoors, conservation, the Detroit region, and a cold post-hike brew inspired him to leave big law and create the type of company that he had always wanted to work for.

Dan is a licensed trail guide, wilderness backpacker, backcountry skier, trail runner, and hunter. You can typically find Dan on a trail with his golden retriever Lucy.
